Welcome to SavingTax. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SavingTax mobile application (“App”) and related services. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose of the App

SavingTax provides general financial education, tax-saving insights, and informational tools for users in the United Kingdom.

The App does NOT provide personal tax, financial, or legal advice. Before making decisions, consult a qualified professional. SavingTax does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content.

2. Third-Party Content

The App may display content from third-party publishers (e.g., BBC, Mirror) via RSS feeds.

  • We do not claim ownership of third-party content.
  • Links redirect to the original publisher.
  • No endorsement or affiliation is implied.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

SavingTax may offer auto-renewable subscriptions and/or one-time purchases to provide premium features, insights, and an ad-free experience.

Payment and Billing

  • Payment for subscriptions is processed through your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play) via RevenueCat.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your App Store or Google Play account.

Changes and Cancellations

  • Prices and features may change; changes will apply to the next billing cycle.
  • Cancelling a subscription will stop future payments but will not refund the current billing period.

4. Privacy & Data

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • How we collect and process your data
  • Your rights regarding your data
  • Account deletion procedures

5. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use the App unlawfully or fraudulently
  • Misrepresent identity or eligibility
  • Copy, scrape, or republish content
  • Interfere with security or other users’ access

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided “as is” without warranties.
  • We are not responsible for losses, tax penalties, or damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Account Management and Deletion

Accounts can be deleted directly in the App, permanently removing personal data (except where retention is legally required).

8. Eligibility

The App is designed for users responsible for their own tax obligations. While accessible to all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (UK/US) or under 16 (EU). If child data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify the App or these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Scotland.
