Use the guides and glossary
Plain-English guides to taxes, allowances and reliefs, plus a glossary of tax terms.
If a term in the app is unfamiliar, there’s probably a guide or a glossary entry that explains it.
Guides
- Tap Guides at the bottom of the screen.
- Pick a section: Taxes, Allowances or Reliefs.
- Tap a guide to read it.
The guides cover topics such as income tax, National Insurance, tax codes, Personal Allowance, ISAs, pensions, Gift Aid and Marriage Allowance.
Glossary
The glossary explains common tax terms such as Adjusted Net Income and Auto-Enrolment. Open it either way:
- On Home, tap Glossary.
- Go to Settings, then Glossary under Support.
Tap a term to read its definition. You can also search for a term.
